Eskimo Ice
was founded by Chris and Elsabe Barnard during the summer of 1999 at
Kosi Bay (Manguzi),
Maputaland, (part of
Greater St Lucia Wetlands World Heritage Site) and has
grown to such an extent that Eskimo Ice is a force to be reckoned with
within the Ice Industry in Northern Kwa-Zulu Natal.
During the past years
Eskimo Ice had various highlights as an Ice Manufacturer and Distributor. To
mention but a few examples:
During 2001 with the Inauguration of Nkosi Israel Tembe only Eskimo Ice was used
for the glamorous traditional occasion, with various dignitaries including
King
Goodwill Zweletini and
King Mswati III of Swaziland. On another prestigious
occasion, the grand opening of Kangela Estate and
Ponta Mamoli Resort in 2002,
President Chisano of Mozambique insisted on Eskimo Ice for his personal
consumption. Eskimo Ice was also used in 2003 with the grand opening of
Thonga
Beach Lodge.
Eskimo Ice supplies ice to all of the up-market Resorts,
Lodges, Restaurants, Bars, Filling Stations and Supa Trade Spar, both in
Northern Maputaland and Southern Mozambique.
